In my twenty five years of working with the teen population in Tulsa, Oklahoma, statistics indicate a very alarming rate of homeless teen pregnancies' before high school completion. Many of these young ladies were never given the opportunity to be in a structured family centered environment because not only does Oklahoma rank in the top five states with teen pregnancy, it is also has a disturbing rate of women incarceration. With this information, it has become my passion and mission to have a family-centered home for pregnant teens and/or first time mothers who are parenting alone. I believe given an opportunity to live with a housemother, and an environment that promotes healthy relationships, will encourage a positive support system that most often leads to success stories beyond one's imagination.
